SIU Robotics

Participating in extracurricular activities enhances your college experience and offers valuable opportunities for personal and professional growth. Joining student organizations fosters connections, provides experiences, and allows you to pursue your passions. Here are the student organizations available at our school.

ASQ

American Society for Quality (now, ASQ Global) is the world's leading membership organization devoted to quality. ASQ at SIUC is a student chapter for ASQ’s St. Louis Region, and an RSO on Campus. Their objective as a professional association is to advance learning in the areas of quality improvement, exchange knowledge with experts in the area, and to share ideas with industry peers. A major activity of the student chapter is hosting an annual SIUC ASQ conference in the areas of quality, reliability and Six Sigma.

SIU Robotics

SIU Robotics is an RSO that focuses on designing robots for various competitions. Every aspect of the robots are designed and built by the robotics team for competitions such as Robobrawl, Midwestern Robotics Design Competition (MRDC) and NASA Robotics mining competition. The organization is a two-time National Grand Champion of the ATMAE robotics competition, 2019 Robobrawl Champion, and regularly places top 5 in the MRDC.

Tau Alpha Pi

Tau Alpha Pi is the national engineering technology Honor Society. The organization’s goals are to recognize high standards of scholarship among engineering technology students and to encourage a commitment to lifelong learning and continued scholarship in engineering technology. Tau Alpha Pi members come from the top four percent of the programs total engineering technology student population. Newly inducted members receive an honorary certificate of induction and a Tau Alpha Pi key.
